As I left the voting place, I felt aware of 2 things:
- Joy of the opportunity to register my voice (even if just one of many — there are things about that, too, that are good), for some reason a feeling unique to this election
- Sensitivity to how easy it was, how safe it was (for me) and the reasons why...knowing all the while that there are so many who don't feel either of these things
I hope my vote somehow helps with the reasons that so often prevent others from having the experience I had.
